Finding a prom date is something that's on most teens' minds this time of year. While many are comfortable going to prom solo, others prefer to go with a significant other or a loved one. Many young men, for example, want to take their moms or even grandmothers to prom and share this amazing night with them!
Haleigh Wiley is a junior at Prescott High School in Arizona. She was set to attend prom with her boyfriend, but after an argument, he decided to back out right before the big day.
Upon hearing that the teen would be going to prom solo, her 5-year-old cousin Bentley decided to step up to the plate and come to her rescue.
He told her, "I will take you to prom — I can do it, I'm a big boy!"
The two attended the event together. Haleigh's surprising choice of a date amazed her classmates, though Bentley reportedly stole the show. They loved having him there!
The teen says that the little boy is like a brother to her and that he was very brave for stepping up the way he did. The pair had a blast, too.
