For over a year now, Koren's best friend Christie has been begging her to cut her long locks of hair in order to look younger, feel lighter, and donate it to Locks of Love.
It began as a joke: Christie kept telling her friend that she was going to force her to get on The Maury Show and have him cut off her long hair, and Koren happily agreed that she would only get her hair cut if and only if it was with Maury watching!
While Koren certainly liked her hair and kept it clean and healthy, she admits that after a while it began to become a bit of a burden, with the weight alone, and the constant brushing and upkeep. She certainly enjoyed the look of it, but eventually it's good to take a chance and try something new for a change.
So when Koren was invited to come onto the show, she kept up her end of the bargain and proudly marched onstage for a total makeover. But perhaps the funniest moment of the whole show was when Christie was the one who had to cut it all off! It was, after all, her idea to begin with!
Her hair certainly looked gorgeous, but it's pretty great knowing that thanks to her willingness to have it cut off, it will all go to children fighting against cancer. Thanks, Koren, for being such a good sport!
