He Stopped Traffic — And What He Does Is Absolutely HYSTERICAL!

Hoping to brighten everyone's day, a Norwegian art group put two street signs inspired by Monty Python's Ministry of Silly Walks on either side of a zebra crosswalk and set up a hidden camera to see what happened.

As some may remember, "The Ministry of Silly Walks" is a sketch from the Monty Python comedy troupe's television show Monty Python's Flying Circus' 14th episode, entitled "Face the Press."

As you can see from the video, the people living in the small town of Ørje, Norway were pretty amused by the new traffic signs and couldn't wait to show off their silly side while crossing the street. As the sign clearly indicates, those pedestrians wishing to cross must do so using a silly walk. The people in the video have some pretty impressive moves and can't help but giggle as they make their way across the road.

Although it's bringing cheer to both pedestrians and drivers, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration was not as amused by the prank, as the signs don't comply with national traffic sign regulations and are thus in violation of the law. But, as the town's mayor points out, "Clearly one should listen to the authorities, but this kind of fun should be allowed. You cannot just be square, right?"

If you think the town should be able to keep these traffic signs up, please SHARE this with everyone you know.
