If you grew up in the ‘90s and were a video game aficionado, you are probably familiar with the phrase “Finish him.” Or what about the words “Get over here!”
While I loved catching mushrooms on Super Mario Bros. and those little bananas on Donkey Kong, I also couldn’t get enough of the action on Mortal Kombat. To my parents’ dismay, I knew every character’s special skills and I also tried to learn every gruesome fatality there was.
So when I came across these five guys performing the game’s theme song in the video below, I quickly became nostalgic thinking of the good old days.
I was also impressed by their skills. Dressed up as several of the game’s characters — Scorpion, Rain, Reptile, Smoke, and Sub-Zero — these talented guys shockingly performed the song a cappella.
And I couldn’t stop laughing at the guy at the top left, aka Scorpion. Just wait till you get to the :44 mark — you’ll definitely understand why. The guy pretending to be Reptile in the green is also pretty amusing with what he does at the :24 mark.
