It's safe to say that talent can come in many shapes and sizes. This video is an unbelievable testament to that notion. This 1-year-old boy, LJ, has an amazing knack for playing the drums — and playing them really well. Not only does he have a natural rhythm once he gets started, but you can tell that he thoroughly enjoys the feeling that playing the drums gives him.
At the very beginning, once the song starts to play, LJ lights up with joy. Then the video cuts to him counting himself off, and playing in the pocket of the chords being played within the video. This video of LJ reminded me of this little boy who grooves to the music as he’s walking down the streets of China. With his dad by his side, cheering him on, this video beautifully captures a remarkable talent that is only going to develop and get better with time; especially with the support that he’s already getting from his family.
I’d like to think that this video is living proof that we can be born with a gift, and that gift once developed can lead us into even greater possibilities than we could’ve imagined.
