Kids Can Figure It Out In 20 Seconds, But This Puzzle Has Us Stumped

In kid logic, a monster living under bed is just a plausible as a fairy sneaking into your bedroom to leave you money in exchange for teeth. Yet, us adults know those things are not possible, and we’ve learned this though experience and thorough thinking.

Yet, sometimes our more mature mentalities can hinder us and it’s wiser to just let go and let your intuition take over.

Case in point, a logic puzzle that children in Hong Kong are asked on an entry exam to get into first grade is sweeping the Internet. Most of the 6-year-olds who take the test have to answer it within 20 seconds and typically succeed, while it takes adults five minutes, if not longer to answer it. In fact, when I tried to answer the question, I was completely stumped.

Think you’re smarter than a first-grader? Prove it. Take a look at the mind-boggling question below, put on a timer, and see if you can figure it out under 20 seconds…

Here is the question they are asked. Set your timer and try to solve it.
