Woman Says Soldier Boyfriend Is In Afghanistan, Then Stranger Leaves Note On Her Car About Him

Back in 2014, 24-year-old Samantha Ford had a bumper sticker on the back of her car that read, "1/2 of my heart is in Afghanistan." That's because her boyfriend, Army Spc. Albert DeSimone, was deployed in Afghanistan.

Though Samantha was proud of Albert for fighting so hard for our country, the distance between them was difficult. There wasn't a day that passed that Samantha didn't think of Albert, and vice versa.

One day, Samantha leaving a Dunkin' Donuts in Arlington Massachusetts when she spotted a mysterious white envelope tucked under her windshield wiper.

Samantha was so stunned by the note that she snapped a photo of it and posted it "Our Deployment 101," a Facebook page where military families share stories and support.

"There are no words to describe how I'm feeling right now," she wrote on Facebook. "Tears in my eyes."
