Restaurant With Deaf Servers Requires Everyone To Use Sign Language. This Touched My Heart!

A new restaurant in Toronto, Canada is changing the way we order food. The first of its kind, the restaurant known as "Signs" requires its patrons to only communicate through sign language.

The restaurant only hires deaf workers, giving these people an opportunity they could never have anywhere else. Think about it – when is the last time you ordered something from a deaf waiter or bartender?!

Signs says that out of the 200 deaf people they interviewed, only 50 made the final cut and ZERO of them had any restaurant experience. Every customer who enters the restaurant is asked to order in American Sign Language… and if you're wondering how all these hungry people know sign language, most of them don't. There are signs next to every item on the menu to help people when ordering.

The restaurant says the response has been overwhelming and reservations have been pouring in. Hopefully they'll have to open a second location somewhere in the US. It would be such a great destination with an even better cause!
