It's never easy being a single parent. There are so many things that fall on your shoulders, but the most stressful of them all is the finance.
As the sole provider, anything that your child needs must come from you. It can be extremely difficult at times.
There are many people who will put in their two cents and express doubt that a single parent is capable of providing everything that a child needs as they grow.
Luckily, there are also a lot of people who are willing to step in and help out when times are at their toughest — one of those people being Ellen DeGeneres.
Ellen had single mom of four Robin Wodek on her show and absolutely shocked her when she presented her with $20,000. It was an amazing gesture for a woman who sacrificed everything and always put her children first.
But there isn't always a celebrity waiting in the wings with a huge check, and a lot of single moms need to use their own resources when it comes to making ends meet.
So, when Jeff Simmons saw a single mom in tears at the car wash because she was in need of new tires, he knew he had to step in. Simmons generously bought all four of the new tires, even though he himself often struggles when it comes to money.
This act of selflessness truly made a difference!
