Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Are Spotted At Trooping The Colour With Royal Family

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reunited with the royal family.

A joyous occasion brought the Sussexes back across the pond, for the first time as parents of two. They came as part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations. It was unclear how much public-facing time the couple would agree to. For now, it seems they're content to be there with family and lie low.

Harry and Meghan were not photographed as they arrived at Trooping the Colour, the birthday parade kicking off celebrations of Queen Elizabeth. They watched the festivities from inside the Major General's Office, which overlooks the parade grounds. There, the pair were briefly seen having fun talking with some of the kids in the family.

Harry and Meghan were not the only royals missing from the balcony. Ahead of the celebrations, the palace announced a scaled-back approach to having extended family join Her Majesty this year.

"After careful consideration, the Queen has decided that this year's traditional Trooping the Colour balcony appearance on Thursday 2nd of June will be limited to Her Majesty and those members of the Royal Family who are currently undertaking official public duties on behalf of the Queen," they shared in a statement.

Meanwhile, the couple had a blast spending time with some of the children in the royal family. They could be seen chatting and playing around with Zara Tindall's kids, 8-year-old Mia and 3-year-old Lena, as well as Peter Phillips' daughter, 11-year-old Savannah.

The couple were also seen talking to the Duke of Kent for a brief moment later on. Though they didn't appear publicly, it was their first event related to the royal family since Commonwealth Day 2020.

The Cambridge children were the only young children on the balcony with the royal family. They also made their carriage debut, a sweet milestone for Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Many believe Harry and Meghan will next be seen on Friday, when the royals attend the National Service of Thanksgiving at St. Paul's Cathedral. It's unclear how long they are in the UK for, but Saturday is another special day for the family. It's daughter Lilibet's first birthday.
