Here in the Northeast, most of the wild critters that you see on a daily basis are small, and fairly harmless. Squirrels, chipmunks, and Canada geese are all part of the standard menagerie.
But every now and then, you will find yourself face-to-face with a slightly larger critter. On rare occasions, that might be a bobcat, a coyote, or even a bear; though, fortunately, large fellows like this one politely requesting food aren’t native to the area.
In fact, in the Northeast, you’re far more likely to run into a much milder mammal: the white-tailed deer. These scampering forest dwellers are downright abundant throughout North America, where they get up to all sorts of hijinks, from eating up your vegetable garden to having close encounters of the toddler kind.
In fact, their love for garden plants can sometimes get these woodland creatures into trouble when they run into obstacles specifically designed to keep nosy antlers out. At least one Massachusetts deer may think twice about tasty garden plants after finding this out the hard way.
Fortunately, he wasn’t harmed at all in his mishap, just uncomfortable and presumably very embarrassed. Check out the video below to see how the homeowner freed his visitor.
