With the holiday season almost upon us, it's time to start thinking about what to get our friends and loved ones as presents.
Stores have already started coming out with their Christmas advertisements, trying to get shoppers to buy gadgets and trinkets at their stores. And with such a variety of things to pick from, it seems like there are so many gifts we should be buying for the people we love.
But one advertisement is making us stop and think about those we might not be thinking about: animals. While we are out shopping for people, possibly for presents they do not need, there are wild animals who desperately need our help. Just a small donation can be the difference between life and death for these creatures.
The ad from the World Wildlife Fund is called "Tiger in Suburbia." It features a family of four tending to an injured tiger that has taken up residence in their home.
The mom and dad and their two kids take turns making sure the animal is as comfortable as can be. They dress his wound, read to him, and place "get well" cards by his side.
They take care of him as they would any other family member.
The ad successfully tugs at your heartstrings by implying that these beautiful big cats are our family and that it is our duty to ensure their survival. A small contribution can be anyone's gift to this species!
