Did you ever go to the park to feed the ducks when you were little?
I remember whenever we went to Grandma's house, we'd take all the stale bread we could find in the kitchen and head towards the Hudson River to our favorite duck ponds. It was always such a fun time. I'd tear apart old hot dog buns and see how close I could get to the big ducks beaks before I got too scared and dropped the bread on the ground. I'd also throw toward ducks far into the water to watch all the tiny babies use their little webbed feet to swim towards it, leaving behind those beautiful "V" shapes in the otherwise still pond water.
Grandma would sit on a bench with our stash of bread, and my brothers and I would go over to her when we ran out of stale rolls. Feeding the ducks with my family is one of my clearest and fondest memories.
Or, maybe, you and your family fed the squirrels, instead. I'd never heard of this before, but then I saw this dad and daughter duo at the park.
Dad's got a bag full of nuts, so the friendly squirrel jumps right up onto his arm. When he hands his daughter one of those nuts, she delights in the squirrel grabbing it from her.
But then, the squirrel does something that has everybody laughing. I've never seen anything like this before… truly!
