Woman Shares An Important Message About Sexual Assault With Parents Everywhere

In 2014, Catherine married the man she loved. She married the man who she thought was the most incredible, loving, intelligent, fun-loving person out there. She never in a million and one years thought that he could ever bring harm to her or her family.

Aaron Tyrell Scott was a man that Catherine had known for 20 years. That's just a few years longer than the lifetime of her daughter, who is almost 17 years old now.

Both Catherine and her daughter loved Aaron for the kindhearted man he showed himself to be. The scene was picture-perfect. Catherine had found the man of her dreams, and her daughter finally had a father figure in her life again, one who would be able to teach her all the lessons a dad should be able to teach a young woman.

As Catherine flips through the cards, you think that there's no way this story could end badly. "What could possibly go wrong?" you may say to yourself — I thought the same exact thing.

Then, she holds up a card that says she got a call from the police.

Her PSA after is so incredibly important for all single mothers, and for women and families in general. While her story is jarring, and may be hard for some viewers to watch, it's also one that needs to be told. It's hard to tell who the monsters really are, and you never know when they're living right under your nose, or even in your own home with you.
