Ann of YouTube channel "How To Cook That" really does it again with this unique dessert recipe. The colorful cake will be a hit with parents and kids alike who have a big sweet tooth (I mean, who doesn't?). While Ann typically brings us the more elaborate recipes (like this eye-catching 2-liter Coca-Cola bottle cake), however, this one doesn't require a great deal of skill so much as it does a little more time than your Betty Crocker in a box.
All you need is your favorite sponge cake recipe, a few vials of food coloring, butter cream frosting, bubble gum tape, and gumballs. Ann seamlessly constructs the three layers of bright and bold cake. The theme is none other than Inside Out, the animated film. It's no wonder this cake appears to be inside out itself. Typically, you cut into a cake to find the candy surprise, but for this cake, the gum balls are on the outside. Then, you cut into the delectable dessert and discover the tasty sponge cake on the inside.
