When Robin Williams passed away in 2014, the world lost a very beautiful and funny soul. There have not been many with a comedic talent as unique as his.
Over the course of his career, he has made us cry with his generosity, and laugh so hard that we cried because of his hilarious sketches — like this one from 1986 with Carol Burnett. Everything that he did, he did with all of the energy that he had to make it his very best. He will truly be missed.
One moment that sticks out as great isn't from a movie of his, but from a TV appearance he made back in 2000. When stopping by the Late Show with David Letterman, he made it an experience that the audience and David would never forget!
After being introduced like normal by the late-night host, Robin comes out onstage… in doctor's scrubs! If you're not totally familiar with why he'd do this, it's for two reasons! The first being that he'd recently played a doctor in a film, but the second, and more obvious reason, is that David had just returned to the show after having heart surgery!
Being the great guy that he was, Robin decided to make sure David didn't need another doctor's visit. You have to see the entire encounter in the video below, it's truly such a Robin Williams moment!
