Nick Abbott was heading to work one morning in Oklahoma when he witnessed the "craziest thing" he'd ever seen.
On the side of the road, in broad daylight during morning rush hour, Nick spotted a man on top of a woman, allegedly trying to rape her.
Nick was in complete shock.
The young woman had been walking down the sidewalk when a man pulled her backpack off, knocked her to the ground, and started pulling her clothes off.
She screamed out for help, but he threatened to kill her if she didn't keep quiet.
A passerby caught the attack on a camera phone.
As for Nick, he knew he needed to do something. He decided to turn his car back around — and made the attacker focus his attention on him instead.
That's when the suspect came at him, threatening him with a knife.
Nick became a hero that day, simply by being in the right place at the right time and deciding to take action.
