A man is being charged in the fatal crash that killed Treat Williams. The actor was involved in the car crash on June 12. He was riding his motorcycle in Vermont. A Honda SUV was turning left into a parking lot when it collided with his motorcycle in the town of Dorset, just shortly before 5 p.m. According to a statement, Williams was unable to avoid the collision was thrown from his motorcycle. He was airlifted to Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York, and shortly after was pronounced dead. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Ryan Koss, 35, is facing a charge of "grossly negligent operation with death resulting" following the crash. Koss voluntarily met with state troopers on the same day of the crash, and was processed and released then.
The New York medical examiner's office determined William's cause of death was from severe trauma and blood loss from the crash. The 71-year-old was thrown off his motorcycle when Koss went to turn left into a parking lot and collided with the actor.

Koss will appear for arraignment on September 25. He has not yet responded to any request for comment, and it is unclear if he has legal representation.
