Rumors Are Going Around That Mariah Carey And Bryan Tanaka Have Split After 7 Years

Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka are sparking breakup rumors as many outlets and fans have speculated that the couple of seven years may have called it quits. Amid the kick-off of the 54-year-old singer's Merry Christmas One and All! tour, Bryan, an actor and director, has been absent from all of her shows. A source has also shared that the "All I Want For Christmas Is You" singer is bringing in the holiday season in Aspen, Colorado, without her long-time boyfriend by her side, who usually accompanies her for the traditioned trip.

This would be the first time in years that the pair haven't traveled together for the holidays, which is what raised speculation in the first place. Neither of them have commented publicly in regards to the rumors as of yet.

Mariah and Bryan first started dating in 2016. However, they've had a professional relationship since 2006.

After only five months of dating, the couple split. Just weeks later, though, they got back together and appeared to be stronger than ever.

The last time the rumored former couple was seen together publicly was in March when Mariah was celebrating her birthday. Bryan shared a selfie of the two of them smiling, along with the caption, "This is one of my favorite pictures. Ever. Happy Anniversary my Beautiful Queen. 3/27 ❤️."

In an earlier interview with E! News, Bryan opened up about his relationship with Mariah. "Something connected with us back in the day and there was just a mutual admiration," he said of touring with the singer as a backup dancer in 2006. "She saw something in me that I actually didn't recognize at first, from that it was over. It was set in history that we were gonna be connected some way, some how."

In 2017, the pair notably spent the holidays together in Aspen with Mariah's children. They also spent the holidays together again in 2019, 2021, and 2022.

In an interview with People about her holiday plans this year, the singer shared, “I've been looking forward to this Christmas for, like, the whole year. Since last year — because last year wasn't the greatest. I'm thankful for them all, but it wasn't my most fun version of Christmas ever," she said. “Come hell or high water, this year, this Christmas, we are going to have fun.”

Fans wasted no time commenting on the breakup speculations. "I didn't even know they were together lol ," one person said. Another person joked, "Nick is somewhere coming up with a master plan."
