Disney On Ice Skater Anastasia Olson Gives Health Update After Scary Performance Fall

The Disney on Ice skater who was hospitalized after falling during a February 10 performance has shared an update. On Wednesday, February 21, the figure skater, Anastasia Olson, 31, shared a few images from her Disney on Ice performances.

She portrays Belle. "I'm overwhelmed with emotions and love from everyone over the last week," she wrote. "I've felt every single prayer, and it's helped me get through this scary time. I can't help but feel so blessed. My heart sends so much love to you all, and if I've learned anything it's to never take life for granted ."

Anastasia was initially in critical condition when taken to the hospital. Her condition was later updated and listed as "serious," as per KARE11. She was given medical care on-site after her fall before being taken to Hennepin Medical Center in Minneapolis.

As of February 14, Anastasia's condition was updated to "satisfactory," indicating an “excellent or good prognosis," reports People. An update from Anastasia was also shared via the hospital's Instagram.

The hospital's Instagram post was captioned with a message from Anastasia: “Thank you for all the warm wishes and kind thoughts. I’m feeling much better and hope to go home soon!"

On February 18, Anastasia also shared an inspirational message to her Instagram Story. "Gentle Reminder: In your seasons of darkness may you remember that your inner light cannot be dimmed," the post, which quoted Alex Elle, read.

"No matter what you're walking through, you will return to yourself," the post continued. "Trust and believe that you are healing. Always."

People who attended the performance described the scary incident, with one audience member named Beka saying that Anastasia "appeared shaky" before she fell.

Beka also praised the other performers and staff members for how they dealt with the situation. "I am beyond grateful and thankful for the remaining staff and the performers who kept going because that preserves the magic for the kids. I know that has to have been very difficult," Beka told KARE11.

Another person who was at the show, Christina, told the outlet that "our hearts go out to them."

"We just hope that she's OK and that she recovers," Christina told KARE11.

Anastasia has previously posted about how much she loves what she does. "How blessed am I to have this job " she captioned a video of a performance that she shared on February 28, 2022.
