Police Chief Stops Racing Car, Little Girl In Backseat Nearly Gives Him A Heart Attack

His morning began like any other day on the job. Police Chief Ryan Zimmerman got in his vehicle and hoped that he was in for a decent shift at work where nothing out of the ordinary would happen.

Chief Zimmerman had been on the force for several years and had gained the utmost respect from his colleagues. He was always one to lend a helping hand and to try to put a smile on someone’s face when they were having a rough time.

Chief Zimmerman had experienced a particularly difficult shift the week prior and he was just hoping that any of that residual tension and anxiety wasn’t going to stop him from doing his job.

That morning, Chief Zimmerman was parked when a speeding car raced past him. He quickly gauged the car’s speed and ran the license plate and discovered that the speeding vehicle had an expired registration.

When Chief Zimmerman turned on his siren and had the car pull over, it turned out to be a belligerent man driving with a tense-looking woman and little girl in the backseat. When the chief made his way over to the woman’s window, he noticed that she looked teary-eyed.

When he took a closer look, he saw that the little girl wasn’t sitting in a safety seat. Between the man’s aggressive behavior, the expired registration, and the young girl sitting in the backseat without the proper safety gear, Chief Zimmerman knew he had to make an arrest but wanted to do so in the least alarming way possible.
