Country singer Morgan Wallen was arrested on Monday, April 8, 2024, after allegedly throwing a chair from a rooftop bar. The country singer, 30, was at Eric Church's six-story bar, called Chief's, in Nashville and reportedly threw a chair from the sixth story, almost hitting Metro Nashville police officers who were standing near the bar at the time.
Wallen was charged with three felony counts of reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct. According to the arrest report, he was arrested for reckless endangerment because of the two officers who were almost hit with the chair, and because of danger to the general public, reported WTVF.
The chair that Morgan Wallen threw reportedly landed just feet away from two police officers, reported WTVF.
WTVF also reported that police officers watched video footage that captured Wallen "lunging and throwing an object over the roof."

Wallen's attorney told the New York Post that Wallen is "cooperating fully with authorities."
People who witnessed the situation told police officers that Wallen laughed after throwing the chair.
Wallen was booked into jail early on Monday, April 8, after the incident happened late at night on Sunday. His bond was set at $15,250.
Wallen smiled for his mugshot. He was released from jail at around 3:30 a.m. on Monday, April 8.
The reason Wallen was charged with disorderly conduct is because "he created a hazardous condition by an act that served no legitimate purpose," according to the arrest affidavit obtained by USA Today.
Conveniently, Wallen's next court date is scheduled for May 3, a day he was already supposed to be in Nashville for his tour.
In 2021, Wallen made headlines after TMZ shared video footage of the country singer using the N-word. He was "suspended" by his record label but his music continued to be popular even after that incident.
