Teacher Cuts Student’s Hair Unaware That She’s Being Recorded & Someone Calls The Police

It should always be a safe space when you’re at school with your peers and teachers. Even if you’re goofing around or having a moment with someone in class, when something goes awry and that sense of safety is disrupted, it’s certainly cause for alarm.

Margaret Gieszinger was a 52-year-old teacher at the University Preparatory High School in Visalia, California. A seemingly normal day at school, which quickly turned into a chaotic nightmare for a group of students, led to an in-class incident that went viral due to its shocking nature.

According to CNN, in a cellphone video that was posted to Reddit, the teacher can be seen calling a male student to the front of the class. It wasn’t for a presentation or even a question and answer portion of the class lesson as Gieszinger made the student sit down and started cutting chunks out of his hair without his permission with a pair of scissors.

Throughout the video, Gieszinger can be seen singing a mixed-up version of “The Star-Spangled Banner.” In the viral video, the student then moves away from the teacher and Gieszinger can be seen trying to get other students to comply as she “sings again and darts between desks.”
