Former NBA player Drew Gordon has died at the age of 33. His agent, Calvin Andrews, confirmed via ESPN that the former basketball player died in a car crash in Portland, Oregon, on Thursday, May 30, 2024. He was the older brother of Denver Nuggets’ Aaron Gordon.
In a tribute post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the Nuggets shared a black and white photo of the brothers with their hands touching as they walked in opposite directions.
“1990 – 2024 Drew Gordon,” the tribute read. “The Denver Nuggets organization is devastated to learn about the tragic passing of Drew Gordon. Drew was far too young to leave this world, but his legacy will forever live on through his three beautiful children and all of his loved ones.”
Drew played for the Philadelphia 76ers during the 2014/15 season, during which he played in nine games. According to CBS Sports, he continued playing professional basketball for almost 10 years after leaving the 76ers, both in the US and abroad. He even received the title of All-Star in France in 2015, before retiring in 2023.
