Rachael Ray Announces New ‘No Topic Off-Limits’ Podcast Amid Fans’ Concerns About Her Health

Rachael Ray is launching a new podcast — one that will feature “unscripted, raw, and real talk.” In September, fans began speculating about Rachael Ray’s health because of a video she shared on Instagram. Some fans were concerned that she was slurring words while speaking in the video, and others pointed to her mouth, wondering if she had had a stroke. While some fans were genuinely concerned about Rachael’s health, some of the comments on her videos were much harsher in tone.

Noticing that 56-year-old Rachael looked different in her recent videos, fans pointed to her hair, her speech and her overall appearance, with one fan commenting that they “didn’t even recognize her.” Some people were quick to assume that the changes were due to alcohol. However, others jumped to Rachael’s defense, reminding people that you never know what a person is going through.

“You never know what people are going through in their lives. Be kind…” one person commented.

Another wrote, “Don’t know bout anyone else, but I look a lot different than I did many years ago.”

Rachael has not addressed fans’ concerns, but on her new podcast, she plans to have honest conversations with “no topic off-limits.” The podcast is titled I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead and will premiere on October 22, 2024. On the first episode, Rachael will be joined by Jenny Mollen to talk about love and marriage. On later episodes, Rachael will invite different guests to dive into a variety of “raw, honest stories.” Guests will include chefs, musicians, and other people who Rachael knows or would like to get to know.

I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead (quite literally!) is about life’s journeys and what keeps us going,” Rachael shared in a statement, per TV Insider. “It’s unscripted, raw, and real talk. Working fuels me, connecting with people fuels me, and this platform allows for connection and conversation on a more personal level, which really fuels me.”

The podcast will also focus on “resilience,” or “what keeps us going” when things get tough. The reason Rachael often says she’ll “sleep when [she’s] dead” is because she thrives when she’s being productive, she explained in an introduction to the podcast. She derives “joy” from working hard, and is interested in exploring that.

She added that people often ask her how she works so hard. For her personally, it’s because she likes the work she does — but she wants to know what motivates other people.

“What I love about working hard is that there’s always something to work on,” she said. “I love that feeling that there’s always something to do and something to get out of bed for and a reason to be creative.”

While she is good at working, Rachael went on to acknowledge that she is “terrible at doing nothing.” Her husband would agree, she added. “I don’t like to be idle,” she explained.

Rachael Ray’s new podcast, I’ll Sleep When I’m Deadwill be available on major streaming platforms.
