On November 11, 2024, Chrissy Teigen shared her family’s jok moo recipe. She explained that the Thai dish is “a hearty rice porridge made with spiced pork meatballs” and she has been eating it since she was a baby. The model and television personality, who is a mom of four, decided it was finally time to make the family recipe for her children. Chrissy’s 8-year-old daughter Luna helped her prepare the porridge, but what she did while on camera raised eyebrows.
After she shared the beloved family recipe with her Instagram followers, many fans were eager to try it. However, some people had an issue with the fact that Chrissy Teigen’s daughter Luna Stephens had her feet on the counter in one of the videos Chrissy shared. In the video, Luna is squatting on the kitchen counter as she helps her mom prepare the porridge.
To some fans, letting a child have their bare feet on the counter didn’t seem super sanitary.
“Is it me?” one person commented on the post. “But why are dirty feet on the counter? I love you guys, but that doesn’t seem sanitary.”
Others agreed. “I was thinking the same thing,” one person responded.
Another person pointed out that Luna’s feet “are probably clean and they aren’t touching the food.” However, they still had an issue with it. “But still, no,” the person added. “I’m too much of a germaphobe.”
“It’s cute little one helping, but don’t like how she stay by foot on the kitchen stand,” one person admitted

While some people noticed Luna’s bare feet on the kitchen counter right away, others didn’t think it was a huge deal. One person said they “wouldn’t allow it” in their own home either, but “many dirty hands are on kitchen counters and this kids feet are probably cleaner.”
Another Instagram user pointed out that the family is probably not going to put their food directly on the counter where Luna’s feet were — not without cleaning the counter first.
“Do you think they are going to throw their dinner right where her feet are and start eating??” the person wondered. “Like I’m pretty sure everything is pretty spotless.”
At the end of the day, it’s not really anyone else’s business, and some fans simply thought it was great that Chrissy had her kiddos help out in the kitchen. “It’s their home,” one person said, defending the family. “They can do what they want.”
“I love watching Luna help!!” one person commented.
Another fan said Chrissy’s children are “learning from the best.”
In her post, Chrissy revealed why she decided to share her “ultimate comfort recipe” with the world. “I think we could all use a good recipe,” she wrote. “The past few months have us all feeling stress, unease, discomfort and uncertainty. We can find peace in all sorts of things – therapies, art, breaking things in a rage room. But for me, one of the best things we can do for ourselves is fill our bellies with a wonderful meal.”
