Beyoncé’s Mom Claims She Was Hacked After She Appears To ‘Like’ Post About Jay-Z Allegations

Beyoncé’s mom Tina Knowles seemingly “liked” an Instagram post about the rape allegations against her son-in-law, Jay-Z. But later, she told her followers that she had been hacked — a claim that some were not eager to believe. On December 8, 2024, a woman who previously accused Sean “Diddy” Combs of raping her when she was 13 amended her lawsuit to include Jay-Z.

In the amended lawsuit, the woman accused both Combs and Jay-Z of raping her in 2000. Shortly after the news broke, Beyoncé’s mom seemingly “liked” an Instagram post about the allegations against her daughter’s husband. The post shared by ABC 7 Chicago included an image of Jay-Z and Combs and a headline that read, “Breaking news: Jay-Z, Diddy named in lawsuit alleging rape of girl, 13.”

The post’s caption read, “Shawn ‘Jay-Z’ Carter and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs are accused of raping a then-13-year-old girl at an afterparty following the 2000 Video Music Awards, according to an amended civil lawsuit filed Sunday.” Later, though, Tina claimed that she never “liked” the post. Instead, she said her account was hacked.

“Please stop playing with me !!!! ‘No weapon formed against my family shall prosper,'” Tina wrote in her caption.

However, some of Tina’s followers were a bit skeptical.

“You have a whole PR team and this is what you guys come up with,” one person commented on the post.

Another wrote, “How you get hacked and they only liked one post??”

Jay-Z and Beyoncé tied the knot in 2008. They share three children: Blue Ivy, 12, and Rumi and Sir, 7. On December 9, Jay-Z and Beyoncé attended the Los Angeles premiere of Mufasa: The Lion King alongside Blue Ivy, in spite of the allegations against Jay-Z.

On December 8, Jay-Z denied the allegations in a statement released by Roc Nation, a company he owns. “These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!!” Jay-Z said in the statement. “Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?”

In the statement, he also touched on how the amended lawsuit has impacted his family. “My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people.”

“I mourn yet another loss of innocence,” he continued. “Children should not have to endure such at their young age.”
