What to Know
President Donald Trump didn’t seem to notice that he shared an anti-Trump post when raging against Democrats on social media. The mistake came after six Democratic lawmakers recorded a video telling the United States military that they have the right to “refuse illegal orders.”
Obviously, the video really got to Trump, as he accused the Democrats of “seditious behavior” that is “punishable by death.” He later claimed that he was not actually threatening them, and was just pointing out that what they said would’ve led to this type of punishment “in the old days.” As he ranted about the whole thing, he appeared to accidentally share a post from an account titled “Impeach Trump a 3rd Time!”
So, he inadvertently called for his own impeachment.
Per The Daily Beast and The Independent, as part of his rant on Truth Social, Trump, 79, he shared a screenshot of the Democrats’ video. The screenshot showed Sen. Mark Kelly speaking and had text that read, “You can refuse illegal orders.”
Trump was seemingly trying to make a point about the video, but in doing so, he promoted an anti-Trump X account.

The “Impeach Trump a 3rd Time!” account regularly stares anti-Trump content and notes that the person managing the account “hates” Trump. Reacting to the apparent blunder on X, PatriotTakes, an account dedicated to “exposing right-wing extremism,” wrote, “Uh oh. Trump accidentally boosted anti-Trump account ‘Impeach Trump a 3rd Time!'”
Someone else commented that Trump was clearly “very confused,” while another person wrote, “Grandpa has trouble reading.”
The jokes continued.
After noticing the mistake, numerous people on Reddit joked that for the first time ever, they actually agreed with Trump. “OMG, I thought I’d never see the day he said something worthwhile!” one person wrote.
Another person said, “Alright, finally talking some sense. I knew he would come around eventually.”
While lots of people jokingly said things like, “Who are we to argue with the president?” others saw the post as a sign that Trump might be “unfit” to lead the country. “A 79 year old dementia patient is leading America,” someone else argued.
Of course, Trump has vehemently denied these kinds of claims.
After the New York Times published an article titled, “Shorter Days, Signs of Fatigue: Trump Faces Realities of Aging in Office,” Trump went off on the journalist who wrote it and called her “ugly.”
He also insisted that he is doing really well at the moment. “There will be a day when I run low on Energy, it happens to everyone, but with a PERFECT PHYSICAL EXAM AND A COMPREHENSIVE COGNITIVE TEST (‘That was aced’) JUST RECENTLY TAKEN, it certainly is not now!” he wrote on Truth Social.
