Awkward Interaction Between Donald Trump And RFK Jr. Goes Viral

The Oval Office signing event for the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act was full of awkward comments and interactions. At one point, President Donald Trump boasted about “acing” his cognitive tests again and said it’s clearly because he drinks milk. He also emphasized that whole milk is spelled with a W, for some reason. And during another questionable moment, Trump appeared to reject Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s attempted handshake.

With several people standing around him, Trump asked for RFK Jr. “Where’s Bobby?” he asked when Bobby was standing right behind him. RFK Jr. then said, “Right here, Mr. President” and stepped forward.

Trump did not appear to notice him.

“Go ahead, wherever you are,” Trump said, still not seeing him. So, RFK Jr. patted Trump’s shoulder and held out his hand for a handshake. But Trump appeared to dismiss this and just said, “Go ahead” and looked away. After the apparent snub, RFK Jr. awkwardly touched his head with the hand he had held out for a handshake and then started talking as if nothing had happened.

As this was all happening, Trump seemed fairly oblivious to what was going on and said, “We like Bobby.” So, no hard feelings, it seems. Especially because Kennedy then went on to compliment the president. “I want to echo what Brooke (Rollins) said about finally having a president that sees the alignment between farm prosperity, good food policy, and the health of our children,” he said.

Although Trump reportedly cares about these health initiatives, he does not seem all that interested in healthy eating.

Interestingly, although members of the Trump administration have praised Trump’s commitment to the Make America Healthy Again movement, RFK Jr. recently revealed that Trump has the most “unhinged” eating habits. “The interesting thing about the president is that he eats really bad food, which is McDonald’s, and, you know, candy and Diet Coke. He drinks Diet Coke at all times,” Kennedy said on the Katie Miller Podcast.

And in another awkward moment involving the two men, RFK Jr. also boasted about Trump’s allegedly high testosterone levels while on the podcast. Even though Kennedy admitted that Trump doesn’t exactly follow MAHA nutrition standards himself, he said his health is “incredible.”

“Dr. Oz looked at his medical records and said he’s got the highest testosterone level that he’s ever seen for an individual over 70 years old,” Kennedy told Katie Miller. People on social media made all kinds of jokes in response to this claim, with one person suggesting that maybe testosterone helped Trump with his cognitive tests too. “Did probably help him telling giraffes apart from elephants,” they wrote on X.

Someone else joked that Kennedy clearly misspoke. “Cholesterol. He means cholesterol,” they commented.
