President Donald Trump is reveling in the poll freefall of a onetime supporter who is now one of the president’s fiercest critics, The Hill reported. A recent survey from UMass Lowell’s Center of Public Opinion showed that just 31% of Republicans currently have a favorable view of former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
The poll showed that 24% of respondents view the Trump critic unfavorably.
“It’s easy! Tucker is a Low IQ person – Always easy to beat, and highly overrated!!!” the president crowed on Truth Social earlier this month.
But Trump didn’t stop there. “So are Megyn Kelly, ‘Candace’ (Really Dumb and mentally ill!), and Bankrupt Alex Jones, who is completely ‘fried,’” the president continued.
Trump wrote: “There are others, also! Then we have some that are VERY GOOD, true MAGA all the way, and smart. I should do a list of good, bad, and somewhere in the middle. Wouldn’t that be fascinating???”
After being a supporter of Trump’s, Carlson has been an outspoken critic of the president’s war with Iran.
Other former supporters have also come out against Trump recently, including former Fox host Kelly, Candace Owens, Jones and former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Trump in the Truth Social post slammed Carlson and other conservative commentators who have raised concerns about the conflict as having “Low IQ’s.”
“They’re stupid people, they know it, their families know it, and everyone else knows it, too!” the president wrote. The same poll showed that 77% of Republicans and 3% of Democrats had a favorable view of Trump. The poll was conducted between March 26 and 30.
