What to Know
Dramatic entrances are nothing new for Erika Kirk. The 37-year-old Turning Point USA CEO has become the subject of online mockery due to her flashy outfits and her use of pyrotechnics at events. Some memes and AI-generated videos have poked fun at Erika for this exact reason. In one AI-generated video, “Erika” used a power boosted lift and jumped on stage. Her walkout at an April 17 Turning Point USA event wasn’t quite that dramatic, but it seems like if the criticism were really getting to Erika, she might tone it down a bit—and she definitely has not.
At the recent event, an announcer introduced her in a way that felt a bit over the top.

Of course, there’s nothing inherently wrong with being a tad bit extra. But Erika’s dramatic entrance was not what people were expecting at the recent event hosted at the Dream City Church in Phoenix, Arizona. Notably, there were no pyrotechnics this time. Instead, an announcer dramatically announced, “Please welcome Turning Point USA CEO and chair Erika Kirk.”
Before Erika came out onto the stage, a large image of Erika over an American flag lit up the screen. The music that played as Erika walked out reminded people of the WWE.
Unsurprisingly, it went viral online.

And critics feel that the memes and videos that have been made to mock her theatrics really aren’t all that far off. In response to a clip from the event, one critic on X shared the AI-generated video of “Erika” using a power boosted lift and dancing on stage and captioned it with, “Not far off.” And several other critics mentioned Druski, the comedian who made a viral video mocking conservative women. Although Druski didn’t mention Erika by name, many felt that several aspects of his video were inspired by Erika, especially because he wore a white pantsuit and danced on a stage lit by pyrotechnics.
So, reacting to Erika’s latest dramatic entrance, someone on X wrote, “Druski really did nail the intro.”
Honestly, Druski’s skit hardly seems like a joke to people at this point. “Druski didn’t do a skit, he filmed a documentary,” another critic commented.
People just couldn’t believe it was real.

Because the jokes were meant to be exaggerations, and yet… this is how Erika is walking out at her events. “The fact that even the graphics and the intro theme seem like they were produced by the WWE is f—ing hilarious,” a commenter wrote. Someone else simply said, “I’m crying man there’s just no way this is real.”
At the same time, others jokingly suggested that this entrance actually seemed pretty tame for Erika. Maybe she really is trying to tone it down a bit. “the lack of pyrotechnics is disappointing… cmon girl, stay on brand,” another person wrote.
The event came just after Erika skipped another Turning Point USA event in Georgia due to unspecified security threats. A video from that event, which Vice President JD Vance headlined, also went viral online, but not because of any excitement there. Reports from multiple news outlets claimed that hardly anyone showed up for the event. The vice president was also heckled while speaking there.
