RFK Jr.’s Sister Says He Once Threw A Snake Into A Pool And Terrorized Children

There are already lots of wild stories about Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and that’s without even considering his politics. Previously, there was a lot of talk of his alleged affair with reporter Olivia Nuzzi (which included rumors of explicit poetry that he wrote for her). He is also very well known for having had a parasitic brain worm at one point.

And more recently, he posted a video that showed him wrangling live snakes outside of Dr. Oz’s home. Apparently, that was not the first time he did something like that, according to his sister Kerry Kennedy.

Kerry said she saw RFK Jr. wrangle a snake while holding a baby about 25 years ago.

To make it even worse, it happened at a four-year-old’s birthday party. To be fair, though, Kerry spotted a snake in her backyard during her daughter’s birthday party. She thought her brother RFK Jr. would be able to help her deal with this situation, so she called him and he “rushed over.”

Though RFK Jr. seemed like the obvious person to call to deal with this, his approach was concerning. When speaking to CNN’s Erin Burnett, Kerry said her brother held his son Aiden in one arm and had a pillowcase in the other.

“He grabbed the snake and stuffed it into the pillowcase while he was holding his infant son, so that was a little scary,” she said.

What happened next was worse, though.

Because he then approached the kids at the birthday party, still carrying the pillowcase with a snake in it. Kerry said he reached into the pillowcase and the snake “was chomping on his hand.” He also took the snake out to show all the children at the birthday party.

Kerry didn’t say anything about the kids being terrified in that moment, but the situation quickly escalated because there was a vole nearby. RFK Jr. decided to grab it and put it in the pillowcase with the snake in front of the kids at the party. Of course, this “made all the kids scream because now they were afraid the snake would eat the vole.”

He then reached into the bag and removed the snake with his bare hands, but the story didn’t end there either. Later, Kerry went back to RFK Jr’s house with him, where there were “tons of kids in the swimming pool.” He then tossed the snake into the swimming pool with the children.

Kerry said this story illustrates RFK Jr.’s “lack of judgment.”

Before telling this story, Kerry admitted that her brother’s interest in nature is not entirely a bad thing. According to Kerry, her brother has been interested in animals since childhood. “I’m so grateful to Bobby as my older brother when I was a kid,” she said. “His fascination of nature he shared with all of us, and he took me to catch snakes and learn about frogs and salamanders…”

However, that doesn’t excuse some of his behaviors. Although she said she “learned so much” from him as a child, the way he interacts with nature is “complicated.”

She said, “This is somebody who, on the one hand, has a fascination with nature, but on the other hand, has, you know, a great lack of judgment when it comes to the safety and care of children.”

In response, RFK Jr. accused his sister of having “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

After seeing the clip of Kerry’s story on X, RFK Jr. responded to it. He implied that his sister just said what she said because she doesn’t support President Donald Trump. He shared a photo from their childhood and wrote, “With my sister Kerry in 1964 pre TDS.”
