Doctors Tell Sick Mom She Needs C-Section, Then She Goes Into Labor On The Spot

The health of a baby largely depends on the health of the mother. While there is no telling what can happen over the course of a pregnancy, a mother can only try her best to stay healthy, active, and mindful of her body.

Of course, if a mother feels sick, doctors need to be concerned for both her and her child and consider the chances of survival for both. So when one mother was short of breath just two days before her due date, her doctors weren't taking any chances.

Jillian Weaver rushed to the hospital when she couldn't breathe properly and had an irregular heartbeat.

She had a condition: dilated cardiomyopathy, a form of heart failure. There was definite concern for her child, so doctors scheduled an emergency C-section.

But Weaver's baby couldn't wait. The mother went into labor in the wing where she was seeking treatment, and where many people die from their severe conditions.

Weaver's husband says that little Ezra, their newborn, was a beam of light in what is normally a very dark place.

The baby appears to be healthy, but Weaver is still seeking treatment for her heart failure. She may need a permanent defibrillator, and her condition may affect her long term, but she's looking forward to spending as much time as possible with her new bundle of joy.
