All good things must come to an end. On Monday, May 1, 2023, Aerosmith officially announced its Peace Out farewell tour. The rumor mill had been working overtime about the possibility of it, but now it is a sure thing.
Fans will have many chances to “walk this way” in many different cities in the United States and Canada. The fun will begin in Philadelphia on September 2, 2023. Along the way, stops will be made at Los Angeles' Kia Forum, New York City's Madison Square Garden, and Atlanta's State Farm Arena, to name a few. As of now, it is scheduled to end on January 26, 2024, in Montreal, Québec, Canada, but that may change.
"After 50 years, 10 world tours and playing for over 100 million fans, it's time for one last go. It's not goodbye, it's PEACE OUT! Get ready and walk this way, you're going to get the best show of our lives," read a joint statement from bandmates Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, and Brad Whitford. One important name was not on that list.
Unfortunately, drummer Joey Kramer will not join Aerosmith on this tour. "While Joey Kramer remains a beloved founding member of Aerosmith, he has regrettably made the decision to sit out the currently scheduled touring dates to focus his full attention on his family and health," the band's announcement explained. "Joey's unmistakable and legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed."

As part of the announcement, fellow musicians and stars reacted in a video to the news. Eminem, Slash, Bill Burr, Terry Crews, and even Dolly Parton got in on the fun.
The show is expected to be a retrospective of the band’s long career in music. Fans can expect to hear hits such as "Livin' on the Edge," "Love in an Elevator," "Dream On," "Pink," and "Don't Want to Miss a Thing." Tickets go on sale on Friday, May 5, 2023. VIP packages will be available, with some including perks like meet-and-greets with the band. Aerosmith will be joined by special guests the Black Crowes.
