Comedian Brittany Schmitt says she had a brief "situationship" with Armie Hammer, who has been accused of sexual assault and of having a cannibalism fetish. On the January 24, 2024, episode of the This Is the Worst podcast, Brittany shared that she and Armie dated for a short time in 2023, and she should've noticed the red flags — but "he's a great actor" and his "redemption arc" seemed convincing at the time.
"So, this is, like, my bad in not noticing a red flag. I’m a Taurus, I’m a bull, so I love a red flag," she said. Armie "branded" her on their first date by giving her tattoos, she shared. “So, the first night we did hang out, he did give us tattoos,” she said.
Brittany said that Armie was open about his kinks, and even joked about the cannibalism allegations. According to her, when he started getting more into tattooing, he called it "Cannibal Ink."
“He thought he was being funny, and I was like, 'Maybe don’t lean into that,'” she shared. "But yeah, we got matching tattoos the first night, which … I was in a dark place.”
She explained that what happened between her and Armie was "consensual." Speaking about his “cannibalistic” kinks, she said that his biting "would get really f—ing hard," but "I would say stop, and he would stop."
Though everything was consensual and Brittany "didn’t have the same experiences as the other girls," she emphasized that that doesn't mean she doesn't believe them.

Armie was "very willing to talk about" the cannibalism allegations when Brittany asked.
"The thing that was tricky about him was that he was very open about everything,” she said.
Though she initially believed that Armie might've changed, she now acknowledges that he's a good actor, and he might just know how to act. “Here’s the thing, I do think he’s a psychopath," she said.
