Armie Hammer’s Kids Have ‘No Idea’ About His Scandals According Ex Elizabeth Chambers

Actor Armie Hammer was once on top of the world. He had carved a niche out for himself in independent movies. In January 2021, all this came crashing down. Multiple women can forward accusing the Call Me by Your Name star of sexual misconduct. He has denied this and has not been formally charged.

These allegations caused his marriage to end and his career to come to a halt. His ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers has made sure that Armie’s troubles have not impacted his relationship with their two children. She refuses to speak badly of their father to them.

Elizabeth and Armie share Harper, 9, and Ford, 7. Elizabeth is appearing on the new reality television series Grand Cayman: Secrets in Paradise. The show is airing on Freeform and is available to stream on Hulu.

Elizabeth is protecting her kids by living away from it all. "I'm fiercely protecting my children, which is why we're still here,” she told Julian Foster on the series. Grand Cayman is now their home.

Harper and Ford don’t know about their dad’s troubles. "They have — thank God — no idea about what is going on. My children are visibly happy,” Elizabeth went on to say.

She wouldn’t have it any other way. “They should think that their dad is a superhero. And to be fair, he has been to them. He's been the best he can be,” she continued.

It is Elizabeth’s policy to not talk badly about her children’s father. "I don't speak negatively about him in the press. I don't speak negatively about him to my children. Because nobody wants a daughter with daddy issues, and nobody wants a son with daddy issues,” she explained.

She wants her kids to have a magical childhood. "They should think their dad's a superhero," she explained. "And that's a beautiful thing that I will never, ever, ever diminish or take away."

Armie and Elizabeth first met through mutual friends. They were married in 2010. They announced their separation in 2020. Their breakup was not easy for Elizabeth, but she is determined her kids will come out of it unscathed. "Whatever generational family trauma has occurred, it ends now. That is my life work. I'm just so ready to move on from things that I didn't create. But the only way to get through that is to keep going,” she stated.

According to Elizabeth their "very public divorce” was painful and “riddled with scandal.” She had to completely adjust her life plans. "The life that we had planned for years basically shattered,” she shared. It was "absolute hell" how public everything was and she "wouldn't wish it upon anyone."

Elizabeth is ready to move on with her life. "A lot of the trauma that I have experienced in the last two years is behind me," she explained. "And now I think I'm very much at a place where I'm ready for a fresh start on the island."
