Bryan Kohberger Allegedly Had A Number Of Photos Of One Of His Victims On His Phone

The true crime genre continues to grow in popularity, perhaps as a way for humanity to understand how horrific events can occur in the first place. The killing of four University of Idaho students has captivated the nation. A new wrinkle in the case was recently revealed to People magazine by a source close to the case.

This source claims that accused murderer Bryan Kohberger had photos of one of the female victims on his phone. This could explain his motive, which prosecutors have been keeping private as they build their case to get justice for the victims.

Kohberger’s phone was taken at the time of his arrest. The photos were allegedly found on this device. The source did not divulge whether the pictures were screenshots of social media or photos that Kohberger took himself.

The source did say it was not just one single photo but many. "He had more than one picture of her. It was clear that he was paying attention to her,” the source said.

The murders Kohberger is accused of happened on November 13, 2022, at a rental home in Moscow, Idaho. A masked person believed to be Kohberger stabbed to death Madison Mogen, 21; Kaylee Goncalves, 21; Xana Kernodle, 20; and Ethan Chapin, 20. Two other roommates in the house slept through the attack. One month later, Kohberger was arrested in Pennsylvania. He voluntarily agreed to face his charges in Idaho and was extradited on January 4, 2023.

Details in this case are hard to come by because a judge issued a gag order due to its high-profile nature. At this time, Kohberger has not indicated what plea he will enter. His next scheduled court appearance is June 26, 2023.
