If there’s one thing that emergency medical staff should show the utmost care for, aside from a patient’s overall health, it's their right to privacy and respect.
This video posted by Wonderbot shares how a paramedic was caught on a hidden residential camera stealing an older woman’s money right after she died.
In June 2022, a beloved great-grandmother who was 94 years old lost consciousness while out in her back garden in Shrewsbury, England.
Four emergency responders were called to the scene, and even though they did everything they could to try to save her, she was eventually pronounced dead. She is survived by her son, Mike.
One of the paramedics, 58-year-old Mark Titley, went inside the woman’s home to see if he could locate a do-not-resuscitate order, but he ended up finding something very different.
In footage taken from the home video camera, you can see Mark enter the premises wearing blue gloves and immediately make his way to something on a side table that catches his attention. It turns out that what was on that table in a small plastic box was a pile of the deceased’s cash.

Mark can then be seen taking some of the bills out of the container and putting them in his pocket only to look up and spot the camera. Apparently realizing he has been caught on camera stealing from a 94-year-old dead woman, he promptly takes the cash out of his pocket and places it back in the box.
According to the BBC, Mark was reprimanded with an 18-week suspended jail sentence, given 120 hours of unpaid work hours, and ordered to pay some victim surcharges.
