On Monday July 30, 2023, Angus Cloud, breakout star of HBO’s hit series Euphoria, died at his home in Oakland, California, at the age of 25. His cause of death is not known at this time. Oakland Police are still investigating the tragic occurrence.
As news of this devastating loss broke, Angus’ friends, fans, and costars reacted to the sad news. From Storm Reid to Kerry Washington, Hollywood is reeling from this tragedy. Angus is remembered fondly by all who encountered this budding star, who seemed on the brink of greatness and left this world too soon.
“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today,” Angus’ family’s statement began. “As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways. Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend.”
TMZ reported that in the 911 call, Angus’ mother stated that she was afraid her son had overdosed. When she requested emergency medical assistance, he did not have a pulse. By the time the Oakland Fire Department arrived, he was already dead.
