Denise Richards Is Only Doing New Reality Show Because Charlie Sheen Stopped Paying Child Support

In 2021, when Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen’s children, Sami and Lola, were 17 and 16 years old, a judge ruled that Charlie no longer had to pay his ex-wife Denise child support. Now, a source has alleged that this court decision ultimately motivated Denise to work on her new reality show, Denise Richards & Her Wild Things.

The new show premiered on March 4, giving viewers an inside look into the lives of Denise and her daughters. However, a source claimed Denise wasn’t motivated by a deep desire to share her family’s story with the world. Instead, money was the motivation — especially because her ex stopped paying child support.

“The only reason she’s doing the reality show is the same reason she’s doing her OnlyFans — she needs the money,” the insider told The U.S. Sun. Denise and her daughter Sami are both on OnlyFans.

During an interview with People, Denise said she hated the way people criticized her daughter Sami when she joined. “When I saw that she was getting backlash for owning her sexuality and doing what she wanted to do, it upset me as a mom and also as a woman in business,” Denise said.

Sami’s decision to join OnlyFans was also for money. “I really wanted to get an apartment and I knew that working at the candy shop I was working at wasn’t going to cut it,” Sami told People. “So I went to the next best thing and made an OnlyFans.”

Denise previously appeared on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The money Denise makes from “smaller projects” is “nowhere near what she was making 5 plus years ago” while on Real Housewives, The U.S. Sun source claimed.

“She’s been more cash strapped and she probably wouldn’t have even done the show if she was in a better place financially,” the insider said of Denise’s new reality show. “Denise only filmed it for the paycheck.”

According to the source, the court ruling in Charlie’s favor in 2021 “blindsided” Denise. At the time, a source told People that Charlie “kept pushing the court date” and was “manipulating the situation.”

Denise was very surprised that it happened yesterday while she is out of town filming,” the insider claimed. A judge ruled that Charlie would pay Denise “zero dollars per month” in child support.
