It’s always a curious thought of mine, what celebrities eat to stay looking so healthy! I feel like I attempt to eat healthily but always end up grabbing a handful of chips for lunch and calling it a day. Thankfully, Harper’s Bazaar has its "Food Diaries" segment to help in my health journey!
Kristin Cavallari has blessed us with exactly what she eats in a day. At the beginning of her interview, she says, “For a first date, maybe even a second, you’re not coming over and I’m not making you dinner.” Same, girl. She then admits that she never really started cooking until she had kids. I can relate to that 100%.
She then relates back to the moment on Laguna Beach when she and Jessica made the boys dinner, and they claimed that the chicken alfredo they made tasted like feet! She has obviously come a long way since that moment, because she now has her own cookbook.
Kristin then starts us on her morning routine, admitting that when she first wakes up, she checks her phone and then drinks water, followed by coffee. She allows her body to “get hungry” before she eats a big breakfast so she doesn’t feel sluggish for the rest of the day.
Her lunch depends on how much time she has. Kristin will either eat leftovers or take a leftover protein and put it on a salad. She prefers a homemade dressing and says that it takes only a few minutes to put one together.

For an afternoon snack that is a quick grab-and-go, her go-to options are beef jerky sticks, hummus with carrots, or a healthy protein bar. Once family dinner rolls around, Kristin admits that she prefers to cook alone, but she does let her kids help because they love being in the kitchen.
When it comes to dinner, Kristin’s menu is all over the place. It ranges from beef and broccoli to Mexican pizza. When you have kids, you must attempt to make dinner that’s healthy, easy to cook, and kid-friendly! Kristin has already given me more food ideas than I expected!
