As a teenager, Lorraine had dreams of becoming a flight attendant as it combined two of her greatest passions: meeting new people and traveling the world. When she finished high school, she applied to every airline she could think of and eventually landed a job at Delta.
It wasn’t always easy since she was on the go most of the time, but her career as a flight attendant afforded her opportunities to visit exotic locales and come into contact with new and interesting people almost every single day.
On one of her first international flights to Brazil, which took off from Salt Lake City, Utah, Lorraine found herself with a diverse group of passengers who were going to test everything she had learned so far.
During one of her routine checks down the center row, she noticed a man wearing a baseball cap who appeared to want to keep himself hidden. He was accompanied by two young girls. There was just something about him that gave Lorraine a feeling that something was off.
During meal time, Lorraine noticed that the strange man kept checking his watch and that he only ordered one meal for three people during a super long flight. She also observed that both girls weren’t eating anything from the small meal placed in front of them and they both seemed withdrawn and upset.

As Lorraine got closer, she noticed neither of the girls had anything to keep themselves busy during the flight, when most parents brought various activities to occupy young kids. The girls also looked like they were wearing dirty clothes and like their hair hadn’t been brushed in days.
