Ivanka Trump is no stranger to sparking backlash on social media. These days, it seems to happen just about every time she posts something. Although she’s no longer directly involved in politics and has said she would prefer to focus on her personal life, she periodically shares photos from events involving her father and her siblings.
In April, she posted about her “magical night” in a lavish dress as many ordinary Americans struggled to afford the basics, leading critics to feel like she was just rubbing it in. She was also called out when she posted about her dad’s UFC Freedom 250 event. The fact that she’s received so many comments accusing her of being out of touch and having a “let them eat cake” energy about her clearly hasn’t stopped her from sharing these kinds of things on social media, because she recently posted about attending the World Cup final.
Needless to say, people were not impressed.

Lots of critics could agree on one thing: the fact that all of Trump’s kids attended this (and flaunted it) was not a good look. Ivanka shared photos of herself with her half-sister Tiffany Trump on X. And given how people have reacted to her posts about events in the past, it’s unclear why she thought sharing this publicly would be a good idea. The post made it seem like Ivanka is either totally oblivious to how ordinary Americans feel about her flaunting her wealth, or she just doesn’t really care. In the comments, people complained that Ivanka and Tiffany are just “spoiled rich” kids who don’t even use their privilege and platforms for good.
“You are just dripping with privilege, aren’t you,” one critic commented. “You could choose to do such good things in the world rather than grift. Sad.”
“My God the malignant narcissism with you Trumps is something to behold,” someone else added. “Next birthday reflection should include reasons you feel the need to pose for photos like you’re someone of significance. Go do something for good in this world.”
Several people also questioned how the Trump kids all paid for the tickets. “You paying your own way or are the taxpayers???” a commenter wrote.
Ivanka also shared a video of her father on the way to the sporting event.

And of course, that didn’t necessarily go over too well either. Critics couldn’t understand why Ivanka would even post this. They called the Trump family “classless” and accused them of bragging (even after all of the negative comments Ivanka has already received on her other posts).
“All they do is brag, & rub it in our faces,” someone wrote in response to Ivanka’s video.
Donald Trump Jr.’s wife shared photos of most of the siblings on Instagram.
Her slideshow included photos of Don Jr., Ivanka, Tiffany, and Eric, but Barron was nowhere in sight. Tiffany also shared some images on Instagram, and Barron wasn’t in any of them either. To be fair, if Barron had skipped the event, it wouldn’t be all that unusual. He is very private compared to his other siblings and his public appearances are rare. However, a GettyImages photo confirmed that he actually did attend and just wasn’t included in any of the family photos shared on social media.
Unsurprisingly, one of the family photos of most of the Trump kids garnered a lot of negative comments when it was shared on X. “All the grifters together…what a delight…..” one person wrote. “Such a delusional family,” another commenter added. “They have no shame.”
“Let them eat cake….” a third critic commented. “we’re at war…”
