What to Know
Being in the public eye obviously comes with a lot of scrutiny, and unfortunately, even in 2026, people still feel it’s appropriate to comment on celebrities’ bodies online. And as if dealing with the judgment and unsolicited commentary isn’t hard enough, it truly feels like those in the limelight can’t win anyway—because when people think they need to lose weight, they’re criticized. And then if they do lose weight, many of them are still criticized, whether it’s in the form of Ozempic allegations or concerns about their health.
Jack Osbourne has received so many comments about his appearance lately that he felt like he had to make a video to address it. Clearly, he was not happy that he even had to talk about his weight—and yet, here we are.
Jack has seen a lot of comments about how he looks “sick” and “underweight.”
He finds these comments especially baffling and frustrating, given that he was “brutalized by the press about being overweight” for most of his life. Now that he has lost weight, tabloids have published articles about him looking “unrecognizable” and unhealthy.
In a video shared via Instagram, Jack also explained that his weight-loss journey has been far less dramatic than people are making it out to be. “I’ve been consistently but slowly losing weight for the last three and a half years,” he said. “I shot up to about 220 pounds three and a half years ago and decided that I wanted to make some changes, so I did.”
He might look different to people, but it’s not because of any dramatic weight loss.
If fans and reporters think he looks “unrecognizable” now, it might be because he’s made some other changes to his appearance, he explained in the video. He’s clearly frustrated by the rumors and concerns that have been swirling around after his time on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, a reality show in which celebrities live in the jungle without luxuries and participate in different challenges.
“I cannot believe I’m having to actually make this f—ing video,” he said. “If I see one more article written about me saying how I’m ‘sick,’ I’m ‘grossly underweight,’ ‘what’s going on?,’ ‘health crisis Jack.’ It’s f—ing insane.”
It’s been about six months since Jack was on the reality show, and he actually hasn’t lost any weight since then, he explained. “I have lost no weight since I got out of the jungle,” he said. “I’ve been the same f—ing weight.”
Admittedly, his appearance has changed a bit, but according to him, it’s not in the way the tabloids have been suggesting. “The only difference is I shaved my beard and opted for a creepy mustache,” he added. “That’s the only f—ing difference.”
In spite of what people have been saying, he feels like he’s “perfectly healthy.”
It seems like Jack’s confused about why his weight is even a talking point. “What’s the big f—ing deal?” he continued. “I’m 5 foot 8 and a half and 155 pounds. It is perfectly healthy.”
Somehow, after being criticized for being overweight for years, Jack feels like he’s being “criticized even more” after losing weight. Reactions to the video were mixed. Some people applauded him for speaking up and argued that the way he looks isn’t anyone else’s business anyway. Others continued to comment on his appearance even after watching the video. And some simply said they couldn’t imagine being in the public eye for this exact reason.
