A new hairstyle is so powerful. You feel emboldened when you look put together. It is as if you can tackle anything.
Jenna Bush Hager and celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton got to display this on the October 23, 2023, episode of Today with Hoda & Jenna. Chris created seven different hairstyles on Jenna during the hour-long show. He worked his magic during the commercial breaks.
Chris’ A-list clients include Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, and more. He was not worried about the time crunch with Jenna’s styles.
"I got this, easy," he stated. "You know, as soon as I met Jenna, I knew she was born for this.”
Jenna’s first style was a bombshell blowout. It was created with long extensions and a center part. Jenna liked the look but was not used to it. “I’m looking at myself and I don’t recognize myself, and that’s a weird thing,” she stated. Other looks included the J.Lo, which required intense hair brushing and a classic topknot.

Chris’s grand finale look included a haircut. Hoda even got in on the action, snipping some of Jenna’s locks off. The resulting length is just a tad longer than Jenna’s shoulders, but still full of body.
"It's fresh! Out with the old, in with the new," Chris mused.
