Even celebrities have a hard time letting go of their children. Jennifer Garner confessed she shed a lot of tears before her daughter Violet's high school graduation. It was a big milestone event.
Jennifer opened up about this on a June 24, 2024, appearance on Today With Hoda & Jenna. She fully admitted she was a wreck. She loves her daughter very much. Jennifer's mom Patricia "Pat" Ann Garner was also present and could relate.
"I was a wreck the whole month leading up to it," Jennifer revealed to hosts Hoda Kotb and Sheinelle Jones. "Every awards ceremony, every final, everything, I just cried and cried at everything." The show shared photos of Jennifer crying as evidence.
She pulled it together for the actual ceremony. "Then, the day of [graduation] was so happy that there was nothing to be other than just so proud and happy," Jennifer mused.
For Jennifer's mom Pat, this was a full circle moment. She remembers when Jennifer graduated from high school. "Oh, graduation was fine, but when they went to college, that’s another thing, and when Jennifer went, I just howled," she reminisced.
