Kenny G Ordered To Pay Ex-Wife $300K Legal Fees In Ongoing Divorce Battle Of Over 10 Years

Kenny G and ex-wife Balynda "Lyndie" Benson-Gorelick have moved a step closer to settling their ongoing divorce case of over 10 years.

The pair married on April 5, 1992, and separated in January 2012. They are parents to two sons who are now 25 years old and 29 years old.

Back in 2012, Kenny was ordered to pay his ex-wife $30,000 a month in child support until July 1, 2015, according to People. After that, Balynda's spousal support payments from Kenny went up to $40,000 per month. In 2022, Kenny went to court to ask a judge to lower the spousal support.

Kenny's claim states, in part, "Lyndie has refused to become fully self-supporting for almost 10 years. Kenny should not have to continue to bear the burden of her refusal to do so."

However, the case might not be so cut-and-dried. The judge noted that Kenny makes at least $600,000 a month in rental income alone, and that "in comparison to the income [Balynda] receives and funds she has access to, there can be no other finding but a significant disparity between the parties."

While the spousal support continues to be litigated, the judge ordered Kenny to pay all of Balynda's legal fees, amounting to over $300,000.
