Mamie Laverock Finally Reunites With ‘When Calls the Heart’ Costars After Her Balcony Fall

Mamie Laverock has reunited with her costars. The When Calls the Heart actress, 20, spent months in the hospital after falling five stories from a balcony walkway. She's still in the process of recovering at home, but she joined other members of the When Calls the Heart cast at Hallmark's Hearties Family Reunion in September, according to a Facebook post from the actress on October 1, 2024.

"At the end of every rainbow there is a pot of gold," Mamie captioned a photo in which she posed alongside her costars at the Hallmark event.

"Returning to the warm light of the When Calls The Heart reunion," Mamie continued in her post. "I love you."

In August, nearly three months after her fall from a balcony walkway at the hospital, Mamie's family shared that she was leaving the hospital in Canada and returning home. "Dreams do come true. Welcome Home Mamie," read a post shared on August 19 on Mamie's Facebook page.

Mamie has continued to share updates as she recovers at home. In a September 14 post, Mamie shared a moment in which she was able to stand on her own for several seconds. "Free stand on my feet 5 seconds, in the wind," she wrote at the time. "We did it!"

On October 3, a thank-you message from Mamie was shared via her Facebook page. In the video, Mamie said, "Thank you guys so much for these beautiful cards. There's so many and I love them all so much. Thank you."

On May 11, Mamie went to the hospital for an unspecified "medical emergency." On May 26, her family shared that she fell five stories from a balcony walkway while she was at the hospital.

Per a GoFundMe page set up by her family that has since been shut down, the fall left Mamie's body "shattered" and she was in "tremendous pain."

Mamie's family raised about $28,220 via the GoFundMe page. When they decided to shut the page down, Mamie's mom and her stepfather, Rob Compton, thanked everyone for their support. "Please know how much you helped this family in our hardest circumstances. Thank you for caring. Warmth, Nicole and Rob," they said at the time.

When Mamie returned home after nearly three months in the hospital, her family noted on Facebook that she was still "severely injured."

In response to a Facebook comment, Mamie's family noted, "We will take care of her privately. She needed to be at home. So happy for her."
