Mindy Kaling recently revealed that she quietly welcomed baby number three earlier in 2024! The 45-year-old actor and producer shared a post on her birthday on June 24, 2024. "In late February I gave birth to my daughter, Anne. She’s the best birthday present I could’ve ever imagined," the caption read. "When things are hard, whenever I veer towards cynicism, my three kids are such a great reminder of the pure joy in my life. I’m so lucky I live in a place where I could do this by myself, on my own timeline. Thanks for all the birthday wishes!"
"How does one have three whole children without being seen in public pregnant ," one fan commented under the post. "TMZ must feel like such a failure ."
"Congrats Mindy ," another person commented.
The first photo showed the new addition to the Kaling family being snuggled by her older siblings outside in the grass. The actress has another daughter, Katherine, whom she welcomed in 2017, and son Spencer, whom she welcomed in 2020.

The second image shows Mindy posing for the camera with a pregnant belly, and the last slide shows her with her kids in the hospital, seemingly before she gave birth to her third baby. In 2021, she opened up about how much she loves being a mom in an interview with Good Morning America, saying that she feels "so much more happy and confident after having children."
"In each subsequent year of my life, I'm just feeling happier and happier, and I am amazed by that," she added, going on to say that, "Having children really changes your body. Most of the stories in Hollywood are these insane glow-ups like three months after someone gives birth and I'm like, 'Why can't I do that?' I put myself to the same standard. I want to have that same bounce back. And the truth is it just didn't happen after my son was born."
In another interview with WSJ Magazine, Mindy opened up about being a single parent. "It's really rewarding, being a mom and spending time with these two people who look like me," she shared earlier in 2024, referencing her two older kids. "I love them, and they're so funny. In terms of my career, I'm a single mom, I'm the breadwinner in the house."
"So there's a lot of panic that comes with that, the buck stops with me, I have to earn money for them. Having kids is everything — wanting to be a good role model and wanting to produce content that doesn't embarrass them and makes them proud is another layer to my life and a complication that I welcome," she continued.
"My kids are such a huge part of my life and I knew growing up, I was always obsessed with romantic love and obsessing about boys," she said during an interview on the iHeartPodcast Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi. "Even when I was like, 13 or 14 years old. I was never someone that boys wanted to date or do anything with, so it sort of made the passion and interest more intense, if that makes sense."
"I was very boy-crazy with zero success, so I had this pent-up interest. I always, you know, a lot of projects I write and work on are about women who are obsessed with marriage. Both because I relate to it and because I think it's really funny," she said. "And there is also a desperation to it that is, you know, makes you incredibly unhappy. And in my 20s, wanting to find someone, anyone, to settle down with."
