Nick Cannon knows that getting a vasectomy would be “responsible,” but that doesn’t mean he plans on undergoing the procedure. The 44-year-old Masked Singer host has welcomed 12 kids with six different women, and though some dads would have called it quits several kids ago, Nick is clearly open to having more.
In fact, he even admitted that he’s “not done” when explaining why he doesn’t want to get a vasectomy at this point in time. The topic came up on the March 17, 2025, episode of his We Playin’ Spades podcast. On the episode, former NFL stars Ryan Clark and Channing Crowder said they’ve both had vasectomies.
Channing, who has three children, said someone else sitting at the table with them should also consider getting a vasectomy *cough cough*.
“It’s another man at this table that needs to think about that s—,” he said. According to Page Six, he was obviously referring to Nick.
Nick said the conversation felt like it had turned into “an intervention.” He went on to say that getting a vasectomy would be “the responsible thing to do,” but he’s “not done.”
Naturally, this assertion led to other questions. Nick’s cohost, Courtney Bee, wondered if he would have another child with one of the women he’s already welcomed a baby with, or with someone knew. Nick didn’t know the answer to this question.
“I don’t know,” he responded. “That’s the thing. I leave it to the Lord.” In 2021, at a time when Nick welcomed four children within seven months, Nick said he’s “having these kids on purpose.”
At the time, he said, “I don’t have no accident. Trust me, there’s a lot of people that I could’ve gotten pregnant that I didn’t. The ones that got pregnant are the ones that were supposed to get pregnant.”
But in 2023, he described it a bit differently. “As much as I was open to every single child that I have, I can’t say the majority of them were planned,” he said on The Language of Love with Dr. Laura Berman.
In 2022, Nick admitted that having multiple kids also means that he is “spread thin.” He said he felt a bit guilty about it at times. “Being a father of multiple kids, it’s always the biggest guilt on me is that I don’t get to spend enough time with all my children,” he said at the time.
